New/old store manager Dave Valley is doing a great job getting this place back in great shape like it was right after the remodel! I like shopping here again now. You can tell right when you walk in that the whole place is being run better than it has in years!
Shaw's is a terrible store! They are always understaffed and the help they have there don't want to be there to begin with. They are not trained properly plus they are treated terribly. Upper management is terribly rude and has poor PR skills. Don't think if you make a complaint or leave a comment you will be taken seriously because they don't care. If you have a bunch of fearful, whipped dogs working for you then your going to have a lousy store and it shows. I will NEVER shop at Shaw's and won't hesitate to let everyone know they are better off going somewhere else.
Shaws is my favorite local grocer. It's always clean and the produce is fresh, the value is still excellent here and I feel like the store is the nicest in town in terms of overall experience, selection, price, and cleanliness.
The fact that this store doesn't collect customer data with those stupid loyalty cards is completely offset by their new policy to never have enough staff to bag your groceries. Customers do their own which is painfully slow. My last time there was my "last time there". Besides taking 20 minutes to check out, there was some kind of huckster on the loudspeaker every five minutes getting suckers to gather around in the produce section with some gimmick for "free stuff".
My husband & I picked up a chocolate cake made from your bakery this past weekend. It was a cake for my husband & step son..celebrating birthdays. WOW, WOW, WOW!!! Was it Delicious!! I'm typically not a fan of chocolate cake, but this cake was totally amazing, extremely moist & had a real chocolate flavor!! Even the frosting was perfect!!! My husband & I got our wedding cake..carrot from your bakery back in 2011..It was the very best also..& another cake a few years later.. To say the very least, you all have the best cake bakers & recipes around!! We are VERY impressed & will advertise for you! Also, thank you so much for lowering your prices, especially on coffee!! This is our go to store int he Upper Valley!! Keep up the good work!!!
