The bathrooms are spotless and the showers are so clean ...and inexpensive ....it is very nice and you feel at home :)
If you are looking for some good home cooking, this is the place to stop. Their homemade desserts are to die for. The portions are huge! Service is always great.

Excellent food prepared to order. Truck stop proportions. Very reasonable prices. Clean. Good service. Chili, burgers and onion rings are excellent!!! Wide assortment of choices on the menu from breakfast to full dinners and wonderful specials!
We were greeted by friendly staff as soon as we entered the door. The food was good and came out pretty fast. The whole experience was great except for the ignorant customer at the next table over that was giving the waitress a hard time. The waitress handled this obnoxious individual appropriately to allow for the rest of the diners to have an enjoyable meal in this family atmosphere. Very happy my wife and I turned down this street before heading home to end our vacation.
The food is good, but the place is small and always PACKED! The wait is generally 30 minutes or more on weekend mornings. However, that being said, I'd highly suggest going during "OFF-PEAK" hours, as The Fort is open 24 hours on the weekends, and they do serve breakfast all day. It's certainly a highly convenient location, being right off exit 18 and super accessible to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Dartmouth College, downtown Lebanon or Hanover. I'd definitely say that it's worth eating here, but plan your trip wisely, or be prepared to stand in a long line for a long time!
